Currency

Give each currency a name (identify fronts and back) and tell me a little about the designs:

  • Why did you include the images you did in your designs?  What meanings do they have? My country was based off of a lot of things having to do with Mickey mouse. My country was also close to water so I incorporated all of those things into my design. The city of my country is beautiful and very lively at night so I also chose to incorporate that in my design.
  • Which elements and principles did you use and why? I used a lot of blending and opacity adjustments to make my bills each look unique and creative. I also tried to incorporate a theme for each bill so that they all looked like they could go together but still be unique!
  • What do you think you were most successful at during the creation of this project? I think it was easy to choose what colors to use on each of my designs. It was really hard to choose where to put each picture and object though.
Due at the end of the hour!

Imaginary Country

  • Where is your country located? My country is located just off the east coast of Japan

  • Describe the culture/people of your country. Everyone in my country wears white gloves and has circular ears on the top of their heads. Everyone's favorite color is red and they love to watch and listen to Mickey Mouse!

  • What is everyday life like in your country? Everyday the children of my country wake up and watch the Mickey Mouse Club on Disney Channel then go off to school to learn how to read, write, and the other basics of schooling. When the children go off to school the parents leave to go to work. Everyone here works at a park called Mickey Mouse Fun House where tourists from all over the world come to go on the rides. When the kids get home from school they help their parents around the house and help to make dinner. At 7 pm there is a country wide broadcast from Mickey Mouse himself telling everyone the tasks for the next day to do when they all go to school or work.

  • What does your country look like? What colors do you see? My country is shaped like the head of Mickey Mouse and the colors you see when you go there is mostly red and black but the people here strive to keep all the natural plants kept looking nice for all the tourists that come to visit so there is a lot of flowers along with a lot of green.

  • What does your country sound like? My country has regular music just like here in Minnesota or the United States but the people there also really enjoy music from all of the Disney movies

  • What does your country smell like? My country smells like fresh cut grass and really floral.

  • What colors are in the flag? Yellow, Red, White, and Black

  • What is your country's slogan? (for example: In God We Trust, etc) So much to discover

  • What does your country's seal/freedom symbol look like? a red circle with a black mickey mouse head shadowed in with white gloves on the left and right side

  •  Name of person in charge of the country and their title. Mickey Mouse (the real mickey mouse, not just someone in a costume). He is the King

  • Denomination Name (you may not use one that is already in existence...) (1) MouseBuck, (100) CentiMouse

    Animation Wrap Up

    Lets Get Crackin'!
    1. Jessica and I thought it would be really cool to try and crack eggs in stop motion, so we decided to make breakfast!
    2. I thought our biggest success was making our video very fluid and smooth. Some parts of our movie actually seemed like they were filmed rather than individual pictures.
    3. We struggled to move the camera from one end of the kitchen to another in a smooth way, it was really hard but we figured it out!
    4. I would set up our scene a little bit more so that it looked more professional and prepared. I would also want to dress up as a chef maybe just to make the video a little more exciting and funny.
    5. In our sequel there would be two friends sitting down eating the breakfast and enjoying each other's company!
