Typography

1. My font's name is "circles". My entire font is based off of a circle, each letter, number, and symbol is made from a perfect circle.

2. My font is more of a unique font. I've never seen a font like mine but I would describe it as more of a "bubbly" font or a bold font, probably used more for titles rather than typing an entire paper or something.
3. I've never seen a font made from circles so I thought it would be a creative, unique style to use so I just went with it!
4. I used a ton of colors in my font because I like to think I'm a very "colorful" person :) I also really like drawing bubble letters so these are sort of bubbly!
5. Making some of the letters that usually don't have any curves in them was super hard! Like M, K, W, etc.
6. Keeping the entire font uniform and sticking to my idea of always using a perfect circle.
7. I would make a font similar to this one but maybe try to use squares! And I would be super creative with the name and call it "Squares" :)

Helvetica

  1. You can create a feeling, mood, or emotion depending on what font you use on a poster or even in a paper. When the KONY 2012 posters came out the font definitely made me feel like the situation was really bold and important and that we needed to help and do something as soon as possible.
  2. I almost always use Calibri because I think it's a very smooth and rounded font. It's easy to read and it's a little different than the usual Arial or Times new roman. I also like that it doesn't come to any points it's more rounded and seems simpler.
  3. Just like in the movie Helvetica was a font that represented coming out of the era of complicated posters and brought the United States and the rest of the world to a simpler way of advertising. Helvetica represented simplicity while politicians also want to represent cleanliness and simplicity as well- they want something that's easy to read and understand.
  4. I would feel like it would be harder to find them and it would also make me feel like maybe they were taken over by new management or that the company was unstable and was trying to bring in new customers- but they would probably lose a lot of their old ones. It's easier to trust a brand if they're consistent.
  5. I'll definitely notice how much work and effort had to be put into the making of a poster or sign and how much thought also had to go into the making of it. Fonts are something else I will really notice more. Which stores use what fonts and which places go for simplicity rather than trying to be overly-extravagent.
  6. It made me realize how hard it is to be creative in a world where millions of people are designing new innovative posters and artwork. It also will make me notice how many different fonts there are.
